Der japanische Aktienmarkt geniesst weiterhin hohe Attraktivität

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

Nachdem das White Paper zum japanischen Markt erstmals im Oktober 2020 publiziert wurde, ist jetzt der ideale Zeitpunkt, um unseren Ausblick für das grösste Industrieland Asiens auf den neusten Stand zu bringen. Die wichtigsten Aspekte, die diese Region für Investoren attraktiv machen, haben wir bereits im Detail behandelt: die anhaltende Unterstützung durch die Bank of Japan, den Rückgang der Verschuldung, die steigende Profitabilität sowie die Verbesserungen  bei der Corporate Governance (HQAM White Paper).

Nach dem Schock der COVID-Pandemie haben sich durch den Krieg in der Ukraine und dessen Folgen die Hoffnungen auf eine rasche weltweite Erholung zerschlagen. Inzwischen ist sich wohl jeder Anleger der Marktsituation von 2022 bewusst und mag die Wörter «Inflation, Rezession, Gaspreise, Erdgaskrise» usw. kaum mehr hören. Deshalb wollen wir uns stattdessen mit der Frage befassen, ob Japan vom langfristigen, fundamentalen Quality-Standpunkt aus immer noch attraktive Anlagemöglichkeiten bietet.

Während die japanische Geldpolitik das Finanzsystem tatsächlich auch 2022 noch unterstützt, untersuchen wir die Entwicklung des Quality Status der japanischen Unternehmen. Alle Fakten deuten immer noch in dieselbe Richtung: Die japanische Unternehmenswelt durchläuft eine Transformation, die den Aktienmarkt befeuert.
Nach der Pandemie und der zaghaften weltweiten Erholung ist die positive Dynamik der Fundamentaldaten nach wie vor intakt – beispielsweise die rückläufige Verschuldung und die steigende Profitabilität , die rasch zu den internationalen Mitbewerbern aufschliessen.

Die Verbesserungen bei den Corporate-Governance-Praktiken, die wir 2020 feststellten, bleibt als Trend bestehen und führt dazu, dass sich die Corporate-Governance-Praktiken in Japan immer mehr an internationalen Standards ausrichten. Ausserdem stellen wir fest, dass sich der japanische Aktienmarkt auch 2022 selbst im Vergleich zum US-amerikanischen und europäischen Markt weiterhin durch attraktive Bewertungskennzahlen auszeichnet. Gleichzeitig liegen die Wachstumsraten japanischer Unternehmen kaum hinter denen anderer Industrieländer zurück oder sind sogar besser als in einigen Regionen des Westens.

Gestützt durch die genannten Faktoren bleiben japanische Aktien auf Kurs, um eine robuste langfristige Performance zu liefern, die bei sorgfältiger Auswahl von Qualitätstiteln sogar noch weiter gesteigert werden kann.
