Media coverage of companies is once again dominated by scandals. This was also the case when the Corporate Excellence Award was launched during\/after the financial crisis in 2008. With the Corporate Excellence Award, H\u00e9rens Quality Asset Management wants to put companies in the spotlight that manage to demonstrate sustainable business excellence despite sometimes adverse market conditions. In this context, the focus is on generally applicable economic and business management principles &#8211; without taking into account the valuation of a company. The research for the Corporate Excellence winners is exclusively provided by our Research Center in Riga, Latvia. The winning decision will be made by an international jury with a broad academic and practical background.      <\/p>\n<p>Over the years, some common features have emerged among the winners: In most cases, the business is based on a clearly focused, often family-run business model and growth is largely organic, without major acquisitions. It is interesting to note that the winners often address corporate responsibility factors at an early stage and are also significantly better off than their peers in this respect.
