HISTORY
Since 2003, "quality" has been at the center of Hérens Quality Asset Management!
Another milestone in the history of Hérens Quality Asset Management AG. In 2023, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of our company with various events, the launch of the new website, customer portal and the soft redesign of our logo.
In the spring of 2023, we met Oliver Heer (Oliver Heer Ocean Racing (OHOR)) and got to know his project to participate in the Vendée Globe 2024. This exciting and thrilling partnership with OHOR culminated in the launch of our newest investment product, the HQAM x OHOR Sustainable Quality Portfolio. The portfolio is governed by our systematic quality investing approach and has a focus on sustainable investing. That is, it will include quality companies focused on areas such as sustainable and alternative energy solutions, sustainable sourcing, waste reduction, improved operational efficiency and other sustainable initiatives.
At the beginning of 2023, we decided to launch two new certificates: HQAM Quality Corporate Bonds USD and HQAM Quality Corporate Bonds EUR. With these two certificates we ensure that we can offer a diversified EUR and USD quality bond portfolio especially for our private clients.
For the 10th year in a row, we were able to honor the best quality companies worldwide and per country as part of our Corporate Excellence Award. As part of our 10th anniversary, we launched our new Corporate Excellence Award website (www.ce-award.com) and redesigned the logo.
At the start of 2020, we acquired the Aramus Japan Equity Fund. The acquisition allowed us to optimally expand our product range on a regional level, as we had already been offering our own Japan portfolio since 2004, but without making it available to the general public in a form of an investment product.
Following the launch of our focused Top Quality strategies in a form of discretionary mandates (2014) and the newly available Global Quality Top 8 certificate (2017), we made the Global Quality Top 15 strategy available to a broad public through a fund (Global Quality Top 15 Equity fund) in the fall of 2019.
Due to the low bond yields as well as the negative interest rates, we have launched Quality-Peer-2-Peer Fund (a Private Debt Fund), which offers our clients the opportunity to invest in Swiss SME's, providing an attractive addition to their portfolios.
The Global Quality Top 8 Certificate is the first product we are launching under the new name HQAM. The Global Quality Top 8 Certificate is based on the Global Quality Top 8 Strategy launched in 2014 and is the most focused strategy of the three global Top strategies.
In 2017, under the leadership of the next generation of partners - Diego Föllmi (former member of the CEAMS Executive Committee) and Dmitry Baulin (former Head of Research at CEAMS) - together with external partner Dr. Andreas Mattig (former owner of Hérens Partners), a management buyout took place. The merged companies act as Hérens Quality Asset Management and ensure the independence and further development of the CEAMS - Quality approach.
With a track record of over 10 years in generating alpha, we have proven our expertise in managing international Quality equity investments. We have also proven that Quality is an independent factor alongside the traditional investment styles of Value and Size. In response to our clients' desire for more focused Quality strategies, and to complement our regional Quality strategies, we launched the Global Quality Top 8 / 15 / 25 strategy in 2014. . The stocks in these highly concentrated strategies are carefully selected and are based on the result of our many years of disciplined quality research.
In 2014, CEAMS became part of the Raiffeisen Group Switzerland, in the Group's effort to establish its own asset management division. In 2016, two years later, Raiffeisen Group Switzerland decided to sell the entire Asset Management division to Vontobel Bank Switzerland. During this short period, neither the Quality Investment approach nor the core CEAMS team were affected.
In 2011, we launched the Corporate Excellence Awards in Europe and Switzerland.
To honor the world's best quality companies, we launched the Corporate Excellence Award in 2008 together with academic partners. The award is presented annually (for more information, visit the CE Award homepage www.ce-award.com).
Since its foundation, CEAMS has been considered a pioneer for systematic investments in quality stocks. The team from Switzerland is supported by its own research center in Riga (Latvia), which was founded in 2004. Analytical competence and the systematic application of new findings from corporate excellence research ensure the continuous further development of the company, its team as well as the product range and the quality approach.
The beginnings of our company date back to 2003, when the CE Asset Management was founded, which later became known as CEAMS. The company and its unique investment approach are based on the belief that it is possible to systematically identify fundamentally strong quality companies with attractive valuations, regardless of market cycles.
